Brightlingsea model boat club is a friendly radio-controlled model boat club. Based in Brightlingsea Essex. We run regular boating events,
publish race results, and welcome new members of all ages and experience levels

Sunday 1st - Barge
Sunday 8th - All in one (excluding one metre/dragon/barge)
- plus Club 500
Sunday 15th - One metre
Sunday 22nd - Dragon
All race days subject to weather conditions
The Brightlingsea model boat club was originally formed in 1995.
The lake remains at the centre of our historic roots and town.
Our club is a group of members with an interest in model boats of all types. We welcome all with a similar interests. Within the club, we have a wide range of expertise to aid members in pursuing their interest. Whether they are just starting out or have experience in building and sailing model boats.
After a sail come inside the club house for a cuppa and chat, ideals and debates always welcome… this is our happy place !

Both radio controlled sailing or electric models
Perhaps you could try building your own boat or from a kit?
Purchase one already made and have the instant enjoyment.
Sailing around the lake is very rewarding.
The islands on the lake will give you a challenge.
We offer a great friendly atmosphere with members from all
walks of life….all of whom have varying levels from beginners
to the more experienced.
